We are pround to share the news that Dongfeng Tan, MD, PhD, E78, G83, Professor of Pathology at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center recently edited a book with Dr. Gregory Lauwers, MD, MGH/Havard Medical School.
The book is titled Advances in Surgical Pathology: Gastric Cancer (ISBN-10: 1608316173) published by LWW. The book could be previewed at Google books.
A brief bio of Dr. Tan follows:
谈东风 博士
MD Anderson Cancer Center教授。曾获2006年度美国杰出专业人士个人奖，并入选2010美国名人录。
1983年毕业于武汉同济医科大学医学系，1983-87年攻读病理硕士,博士。1987-1990年获Volkswagen奖学金，在德国Essen大学做访问学者。1990-93年在美国哥伦比亚大学医学院完成遗传病理学博士后。1993通过美国医生资格考试后，在耶鲁大学医学院做病理住院医生。1998年任住院总，同年获得美国病理医生专科证书。1998-99年在纽约斯隆凯特琳癌症中心(Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center)肿瘤病理学专科深造。随后一直从事病理临床诊断、科研与教学，先后在Roswell Park Cancer Institute (1999-2004, assistant professor)和University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (2004-2006, associate professor)工作。2006年至今就职于MD Anderson Cancer Center。发表SCI文章100余篇，任8个英文专业期刊编委。编辑过5本书籍；主编的英文专著 《胃部肿瘤外科病理学进展》于 2011 年在美国出版。主编新著作《分子诊断原则及肿瘤个体靶向治疗》将于2012年由权威出版社Lippincott Williams & Wilkins 公司出版。
